Pacify drops you into a role you never expected to take seriously: a fresh hire at PAH Inc., short for Paranormal Activity Helpers Incorporated. The name sounds silly, the pay sounds great, and the promise that you'll never face real danger sounds too good to be true. Your opening assignment sends you to an old haunted house that a nervous broker wants to put up for sale. Townsfolk have spread rumors of something evil living inside, and he needs proof the place is safe before anyone will buy it.
The backstory reaches back more than a century, to when the property served as a funeral parlor. The owners handled the usual ceremonies, wakes, cremations and burials, but rumor has it they also sold a far stranger service: a final chance to speak with a deceased loved one. Several clients paid for the ritual and reportedly did hear the dead. Then something went wrong. Townspeople and owners vanished without a trace, and later investigators who came looking never returned.
This indie blend of action, adventure, casual play and strategy is built for teamwork, and heading in with at least three friends is strongly advised. Your goal on PC is simple to state and terrifying to attempt: explore the house, and if anything supernatural is happening, bring the evidence back.
