Out There: Oceans of Time is the successor to the award-winning Out There, blending roguelike play, resource management, and interactive fiction into a space-survival epic where a single wrong decision can spell death. You take command as Commander Nyx, exploring a vast galaxy that reshapes itself every time you play while hunting the Archon, a cosmic villain bent on dominating the galaxy's civilizations.
Along the way you encounter strange lifeforms and must learn to communicate, trade, and conduct diplomacy, gradually assembling a coalition of allies for your mission. You can recruit members from the alien races you meet to build a crew capable of crossing the cosmos, all while managing that crew, your ship, and its systems, since the success of the journey rests entirely on your choices as Commander.
The game is built around a deep, branching narrative written by FibreTigre, with dialogue by Christos Gage and interactive cutscenes illustrated by Benjamin Carré. Developed by Mi-Clos Studio, creators of the original Out There and Sigma Theory, it invites you to navigate an ever-changing cosmos, explore uncharted terrain, and gather resources for the next leg of your voyage. This adventure RPG with strategy and indie roots offers a rich, replayable space odyssey on PC.
