About Order of Battle: World War II

Order of Battle: World War II is a strategy wargame that sets out to modernize the genre, refining every element for a new generation while staying rooted in the traditions that experienced players know well. With detailed terrain, rich animations, and a slick interface, it follows in the footsteps of all-time classics like Panzer General. A free version grants access to the unique Boot Camp campaign along with a first-chapter taste of every other campaign pack, meaning new free missions appear whenever a new pack is released.

Across campaigns spanning the various theaters of the Second World War, you build and manage an army, fleet, and air force drawn from a roster of more than 700 units, each with its own look and behavior. A specialization system lets you tailor your forces with special units, bonuses, and abilities that reflect the differing strategies and mentalities of the war's factions.

As you progress, you gradually unlock a set of unique Commanders divided among Generals, Pilots, and Captains. Attaching them to specific units grants bonuses to everything within their command range, though smart use of unit types and sound tactics still matters most. Blending simulation and strategy on PC, Order of Battle offers a deep, customizable take on WW2 wargaming.
