About Occupy Mars: The Game

Occupy Mars: The Game poster

Occupy Mars: The Game is a complex open-world sandbox survival game about colonizing Mars, inspired by the most promising technologies and companies working toward making humanity a multi-planet species. You build and upgrade your base, discover new regions, run mining operations, retrieve water, generate oxygen, grow crops, fix broken parts, and learn what it takes to stay alive on the red planet.

Survival hinges on careful engineering. You build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, and fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables with proper cable management, grow your own food, and manage energy production while constructing your electricity grid, always ensuring there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to endure. Repairs use realistic electronic components and tools, so you learn the basics of soldering, hot air, and measurement equipment to keep your gear running.

Exploration takes you across different regions of Mars in search of valuable resources and mining sites, hunting for the best place to build a city, ideally a relatively level area with good access to underground water where nighttime temperatures do not fall too far. A realistic day-night cycle and genuine challenges mirror what real colonists would face. As an indie action-adventure simulation, this PC sandbox rewards players who enjoy planning, building, and problem-solving their way to survival.
