Overview
Nanally is a top-tier Anima Main DPS built around chaining follow-up attacks and holding uptime through her passive, Ichidame's Authority. Her gameplay is fast combos and constant pressure — she keeps triggering extra strikes even when she isn't the one attacking, which makes her one of the most consistent damage dealers in the game. Everything she does is Anima damage, so she builds cleanly and scales hard with the right team.
Strengths
- Sky-high damage ceiling from fast, repeated follow-up attacks
- Extremely consistent — she deals damage even between your inputs
- Surprisingly F2P-friendly: her free craftable weapon does ~84% of her signature's job
- Anchors the strongest team in the game (the Blossom comp)
Weaknesses
- Needs tight energy management to keep her 100-cost Ultimate online
- Damage dips noticeably during downtime, when her Skill buff expires
- Wants specific teammates (Zero, Hotori, Jiuyuan) to hit her true ceiling
Best Arc (weapon)
Her signature is the clear best-in-slot, but she's forgiving if you don't have it.
Ready-Ready — +15% ATK permanently, plus +15% Basic Attack and Critical Riposte damage for 15s every time you cast a Skill or Ultimate. Tailor-made for her rotation.
Fluff of Fortitude — a flat +22% damage at all times, rising to +28% against enemies below 50% HP. The no-thought premium option.
Song of the Whale — craftable from map materials and worth roughly 84% of her signature's performance. Do not feel pressured to pull a weapon.
Best gear (cartridge set)
Fireflies and the Forest is her best-in-slot set. The 2-piece gives +10% Anima damage — which applies to everything she does — and whenever a nearby enemy takes Anima damage she gains +8% CRIT DMG for 10s, stacking up to 7 times for a massive +56% CRIT DMG at full stacks. For the Console, every Type II Module grants +6% CRIT Rate, so build Type II modules and let the set feed your CRIT DMG.
Best team — the Blossom comp
This is the highest-DPS team in the game, and Nanally is its payoff. The engine chains the Blossom reaction three times per rotation:
Zero sets it off
Build Zero with the Esper Cycle stat for an instant Esper Meter refill — his Skill triggers the first Blossom.
Hotori copies it
Hotori replicates Zero's Skill, firing a second Blossom for free.
Nanally & Jiuyuan alternate
They swap in each rotation to trigger a third. Jiuyuan's passive doubles the Blossom buds; Nanally's passive makes each bud hit twice.
Full engine = 6 Blossom buds hitting ~60 times per rotation. That's why this comp tops the charts — and why Nanally is worth prioritising.
