Nobody Wants to Die is a noir adventure set in New York in 2329, a world where immortality comes at a price that someone must pay. Following a near-death experience, Mortality Department Detective James Karra takes an off-the-books case from his chief, aided only by young police liaison Sara Kai, and the two risk everything to hunt a killer while uncovering the dark secrets of the city's elite.

In this alternate future, technology can store human consciousness in memory banks or transfer it from one body to another, granting eternal life to anyone who can afford the subscription. Seeing through Karra's eyes, you pursue a serial killer targeting the city's wealthiest citizens, investigating crime scenes with his time manipulation augmentation and advanced technology to reconstruct the events leading up to each murder and piece together the clues.
