About Night in the Woods

Night in the Woods poster

Night in the Woods follows college dropout Mae Borowski as she returns to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs, hoping to pick up her aimless old life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But home feels different now, her friends have grown and changed, the leaves are falling, the wind is turning colder, and strange things begin to happen as the light fades. And there is something in the woods.

This is an adventure game centered on exploration, story, and character, featuring dozens of people to meet and plenty to do across a lush, vibrant world. Rather than leaning on combat or systems, it invites you to wander Possum Springs, talk with its residents, and slowly piece together the mysteries stirring beneath the surface of a town in decline.

The game emerged from a successful Kickstarter and was made by Infinite Fall, a team-up of Alec Holowka of Aquaria, Scott Benson of Late Night Work Club, and Bethany Hockenberry. That indie pedigree shows in its distinctive voice and hand-crafted world, and on PC it offers a character-driven adventure for players who value atmosphere, dialogue, and a strong sense of place over challenge.
