About My Winter Car

My Winter Car poster

My Winter Car is billed as the ultimate sequel to the acclaimed My Summer Car, a first-person survival game about owning, assembling, and maintaining an old project car. You buy and sell all sorts of random parts to build the vehicle while juggling your money situation, and full car and engine assembly involves almost 200 unique parts.

Where you take the car is up to you. You might turn it into a reliable everyday driver, a race car for rallying or circuit racing, the coolest possible tuning masterpiece, or a faithful restoration you register as a historical vehicle. Detailed driving, vehicle condition, and engine simulation underpin all of it, and there's a permanent death feature that keeps the stakes high. Beyond the project car, various other vehicles spawn across the world, from cars spanning the 1960s to the 1990s to a truck and a tractor.

The setting is harsh mid-winter Finland, dark and bitterly cold, with dozens of kilometers of snowy forest roads, icy highways, and even ice roads across a frozen lake surface. Player body temperature simulation, realistic law enforcement, plenty of job opportunities, and limited support for steering wheel and shifter controllers round out the package. As an indie racing and simulation title on PC, My Winter Car rewards players who relish meticulous mechanics and a punishing winter.
