About My Summer Car

My Summer Car poster

My Summer Car calls itself the ultimate car owning, building, fixing, tuning, and maintenance simulator, wrapped inside a permadeath life survival game. You begin with hundreds of loose parts and assemble both the car and its engine from scratch, and keeping the vehicle running isn't your only concern, because you have to look after yourself too with sausages, beer, and sleep.

Get everything right and you'll have a working car to enjoy across various 1990s Finnish countryside summer activities, which mostly amount to doing stupid things under the influence of alcohol. After earning extra money from random jobs, you can start tuning and upgrading the car with parts ordered through snail mail, turning it into an obnoxious bass-boom disco machine, a rally car for competitions, or a pristine factory-condition restoration. Just remember the car has to pass inspection, or the police may come looking for you.

You're not limited to a single vehicle either, since several other cars and machines are available, handy for grocery runs or towing your project car out of yet another ditch. This is not a game for the faint of heart, demanding a severe case of car fever thanks to its meticulous approach to car building. As an indie racing and simulation title on PC, My Summer Car rewards patience, tinkering, and a good sense of humor.
