About Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden poster

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden comes from a team that includes former designers of HITMAN and PAYDAY, and it shows in the blend: turn-based combat reminiscent of XCOM fused with real-time stealth and exploration across a post-human world that nature has reclaimed. The result is a tactical adventure that rewards patience and positioning as much as firepower.

The setup is bleak and vivid. The world ended through a cascade of extreme climate change, economic collapse, a lethal pandemic, and the first use of nuclear weapons in conflict since 1945. Now the Earth is still, cities lie in ruins overtaken by wilderness, and the humans are gone. Scavenging through the remains of civilization are the Mutants, deformed humanoids and animals searching for salvation or simply their next meal.

To survive, you and your companions must venture out to explore the Zone, sneaking through overgrown ruins and picking your moments to strike. The stories speak of Eden, a fabled haven from the ancient world hidden somewhere in the wasteland, where truth and answers supposedly wait. Then again, maybe it's all nonsense. As an adventure, RPG, and strategy title on PC, Road to Eden pairs sharp tactical fights with a haunting, atmospheric journey.
