Monster Hunter Wilds delivers what it calls the ultimate hunting experience, set in a world where the unbridled force of nature runs wild and relentless and environments can transform drastically from one moment to the next. At its heart is a story of monsters and humans and their struggle to live in harmony within a world of duality, unfolding across the untamed Forbidden Lands.

The narrative begins when a young boy named Nata is rescued at the border of the Forbidden Lands, an unexplored region the guild has yet to survey. After hearing his account of a lone escape from a mysterious monster that attacked his village, the guild organizes an expedition to investigate, drawing you into the role of a Hunter tasked with tracking and defeating powerful monsters and uncovering the connection between the region's people and the locales they inhabit.

The living world is defined by constant change, as weather shifts suddenly between harsh Fallow, perilous Inclemency, and abundant Plenty periods that alter monster behavior, sending ravenous packs out to hunt or filling the land with rich wildlife. The monsters themselves have adapted to these dynamic conditions, using their unique traits to survive, and you forge strong new weapons and armor from the materials harvested during your hunts, making this a deep action-adventure RPG on PC.
