About Monster Hunter Stories

Monster Hunter Stories is an RPG that takes the familiar world of Monster Hunter and reshapes it in a fresh direction. Rather than hunting monsters, you raise them, stepping into the shoes of a Monster Rider who lives alongside these creatures and forms lifelong bonds with them across a deep, character-driven story.

As the hero, you are born in a village of Riders who make their living raising monsters, and after overcoming trials that help you grow, you leave home to embark on an adventure. Your journey leads you toward the world of Hunters, whose lifestyle of hunting monsters stands in stark contrast to your own, and you must learn to live and work with them, gradually drawing the two worlds closer together. That fragile peace is threatened when a calamity called the Black Blight appears, putting Riders and Hunters alike to the test as it endangers the entire world.

This release brings the first installment of the series back with a full Japanese and English voice cast, along with additional features such as a new museum mode where you can listen to music and view concept art. Those extras let you dive even deeper into the setting, making it a welcoming and story-rich RPG for PC players curious about a gentler, bond-focused side of the Monster Hunter universe.
