About Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a fun-filled RPG set in the Monster Hunter universe, where you hatch, raise, and live alongside monsters as a Monster Rider. The story begins on the night of a festival in Mahana, the central village of Hakolo Island, at a moment when Rathalos all around the world are mysteriously vanishing. As the grandchild of Red, whose Monstie was the revered Guardian Ratha, you set out to gain experience as a Rider and soon meet Ena, a Wyverian girl who knew Red, joining her to protect an entrusted egg.

Strange occurrences ripple across the world as you try to uncover the cause of these environmental abnormalities, and when the egg finally hatches, out bursts a flightless Rathalos with small wings, setting your adventure in motion. Central to that adventure is egg collecting and hatching Monstie travel companions, forming bonds with a diverse range of monsters that inhabit every corner of the world.

Along the way you can befriend fearsome and distinctive creatures such as Brachydios, Seregios, Nargacuga, Tigrex, Zinogre, Kushala Daora, and Teostra, adding them to your party as loyal companions.
