Megabonk is a roguelike survival game that asks a simple, pointed question: how long can you survive? You fight your way through hordes of enemies and bosses across randomly generated maps, grabbing loot as you go, leveling up your character, upgrading your weapons and pushing to last as long as possible. Every run becomes a test of how far you can make it.
Growth is the engine that drives each attempt. Defeating enemies drops XP, and the more foes you take down, the more you gain, feeding into upgrades that let you become overpowered. Each upgrade offer is random and varies in rarity, so no two runs play out quite the same, keeping the loop fresh from one attempt to the next.
There is plenty to work toward, with 240 in-game quests, 20 characters that each bring unique abilities, and more than 70 items whose different synergies reward experimentation. The game keeps its tone light, and its store page even leans on a tongue-in-cheek player quip about how the experience took over someone's life, capped with a cheerful 10/10. As a casual indie action title, Megabonk delivers fast, addictive survival runs on PC, built around the constant pull to unlock more and last a little longer.
