About Make Way

Make Way poster

Make Way is a top-down multiplayer racing game that shifts the classic formula into higher gear by handing the track over to the players. You grab pieces from a pick-and-mix menu and snap them together to build a course, then race across it while dodging hazards, unleashing weapons and trying not to tumble off the edge in a frantic dash to the finish. After each round you bolt on new pieces, so the circuit keeps growing more elaborate and more perilous until a winner is crowned and everything begins again on a fresh layout.

Course construction is half the fun. You can cooperate or scheme against one another while assembling ridiculous track pieces such as loops, seesaws, corkscrews and even train crossings, then plant obstacles and power-ups. A well-placed barrier can ruin a friend's run, and a sneaky boost-pad can fling them clean off a curve.

Up to six racers jostle and shunt their way through checkpoints toward the finish, wielding wacky weapons like goo cannons and Tesla coils; each checkpoint doubles as a respawn point, so payback often arrives via a giant mallet or a rooftop shotgun. Crossing the line is never the true end, since new pieces keep expanding the course. This casual indie racer rewards chaos on PC, with fresh pieces and hazards to unlock.
