About Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier is a peaceful open-world farming adventure that invites you to establish an interstellar homestead on a strange new planet. You build a sustainable exofarm, cultivate alien crops, customize your mech, and explore a world full of mystery, either on your own or with up to three friends. The experience is deliberately low-stress and combat-free, with no thirst or hunger to manage, so the focus stays firmly on farming, exploration, and discovery, all set to a relaxing cosmic country soundtrack. Note that this is a work in progress and may change over time before reaching a final release.

A defining feature is the customizable mech you pilot to farm, build, and roam. You choose from a range of tools, unlock upgrades, and personalize your machine with different paint options and parts. Caring for the environment is woven into the gameplay too, as you restore the surrounding regions by clearing mysterious pollution, pulling invasive weeds, mitigating hazards, and replanting trees to keep your homestead sustainable. Planting, growing, and harvesting drive your progress, with seeds of many plant species scattered across the planet to discover. Blending simulation, casual, and indie sensibilities, this adventure offers a laid-back, cooperative escape on PC.
