About Kona

Kona poster

Kona is set in October 1970, when W. Hamilton, a wealthy industrialist who owns a hunting manor in Northern Canada, reports a string of vandalism against his property. Unable to identify the culprit, he hires renowned private detective Carl Faubert to investigate. When Carl arrives, however, he finds himself trapped in the far north, engulfed by an unexpected snowstorm and unable to locate his client or any other living soul, leaving him to unravel the strange events gripping the region.

Playing as Faubert, you step into a surreal interactive tale of mystery, probing the unsettling stillness that has fallen over the entire town. The game has you exploring a vast, frigid northern landscape while battling the elements to survive, and this first act offers between three and five hours of play as the opening chapter of four. The experience is enriched by an atmospheric soundtrack featuring Quebec folk band Curé Label, and the story is relayed through an omniscient third-person narrator. With a vintage look and feel evoking 1970s rural communities, this action indie mystery immerses you in its chilly, foreboding world on PC.
