Set in the summer of 1987, Killer Frequency drops you into the graveyard shift at a small-town radio station in Gallows Creek, USA. You play as Forrest Nash, a former big-city DJ whose career has taken a downturn, now broadcasting live from an authentically detailed studio. When the local Police Chief turns up dead, the panicked townsfolk have nowhere to turn but the airwaves, and it falls to you to answer the phones as a mysterious killer stalks the night.
This first-person horror-comedy blends adventure, puzzle and simulation elements into a slasher-inspired experience where every call carries life-or-death stakes. Using branching dialogue, you speak with a cast of eccentric locals who may be potential victims or suspects, gather clues from your surroundings, and solve satisfying riddles under pressure to guide each caller safely through the night. The retro setting is brought to life with dozens of physics-based objects from the era, including a working cassette deck and record player, while a fully voiced cast and an original 80s-flavoured soundtrack spanning rock classics and synthwave keep the tension and dark humour running throughout on PC.
