About JR EAST Train Simulator Demo

This is the demo version of JR EAST Train Simulator, giving players a sample of the train driving simulation built by Ongakukan, a studio experienced in the field, together with the railway operator JR East. The full title recreates the professional simulator that JR East actually uses to train its drivers, and this demo offers a taste of that experience at home on PC.

The focus remains on authenticity. High-definition images of JR East's train lines are captured in live-action, letting you drive from the same viewpoint a real driver has. The sounds from the trains and tracks are recorded by JR East using actual trains, so the running noise feels genuine and true to what a driver would experience in the cab.

The instrument panel mirrors that realism as well, showing the speedometer and other data just like an actual vehicle and operating faithfully according to your driving operations and speed. Changing the type of vehicle also switches the sound and the instrument panel display to match. As a simulation demo, it is a straightforward way for PC players to try the professionally sourced train driving experience before deciding on the complete version.
