About John Carpenter's Toxic Commando

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando poster

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando is a four-player cooperative action adventure that pits you and your squad against the Sludge God and its undead horde. The goal is pure co-op chaos: load up your gun, team up with fellow commandos, and send the infected swarm back to hell. When enemies pour in from every angle, teamwork stops being optional and becomes the only path to survival.

Cooperation drives the moment-to-moment play. You revive fallen teammates, share ammo, and cover each other's backs while thousands of infected surge toward you in relentless waves. That endless onslaught is powered by Saber's Swarm Engine, the same technology behind World War Z and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, so the horde never lets up and neither should your trigger finger. An arsenal of guns, grenades, and devastating powers keeps the carnage flowing.

Semi-open maps add another layer, scattered with vehicles you can search out and commandeer. Each ride feels distinct, with some packing serious firepower or special abilities and others offering handy tools like winches. You find what suits your squad, floor it through the hordes, and enjoy the rush of turning zombies into roadkill. On PC, this action adventure leans hard into loud, satisfying co-op mayhem.
