About Isonzo

Isonzo poster

Isonzo carries World War One into the mountains of the Italian Front, a setting as beautiful as it is deadly. This realistic tactical multiplayer FPS is crafted by BlackMill Games, the studio behind the acclaimed authentic WW1 shooters Verdun and Tannenberg, and it recreates key offensives of the Great War, from the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Strafexpedition. Faithful historical recreations play out in intense 48-player matches among the scenic peaks of Northern Italy, testing your grasp of Alpine warfare.

High-altitude combat offers many paths to victory. You might lead an assault with grenades, use mountain trails to flank enemy positions, cut barbed wire, or crew heavy machine guns and mortars in a supporting role. A unique flare gun system lets you mark targets for artillery strikes or biplane flybys before charging in to finish the fight up close with bayonets or trench clubs.

Six distinct classes let you become the specialist your team needs, with loadouts built from more than 50 iconic WW1 weapons plus historically accurate equipment and class-specific perks. Blending action, simulation, and strategy across its indie roots, Isonzo gives PC players a detailed, teamwork-driven recreation of mountain trench warfare.
