About INSOMNIA: The Ark

INSOMNIA: The Ark poster

INSOMNIA: The Ark is a dieselpunk sci-fi RPG set aboard Object 6, a colossal space station drifting on a bleak 400-year journey in search of a new home for humanity. The remnants of human society are slowly degrading here, and your character wakes from cryogenic sleep carrying a rare psychological disease, unaware that he may hold humanity's last hope. It is a brutal world, and staying alive means managing hunger, thirst, and fatigue while you scavenge for technology and resources.

Exploration across more than 70 handcrafted locations is both rewarding and dangerous, since the nuanced world can hide unexpected quests from treacherous characters alongside savage enemies and deadly hazards. Character development avoids rigid classes in favor of a flexible perk system, paired with extensive crafting so you can build gear that suits your play. Every armor and weapon type carries its own tactical strengths and weaknesses, making equipment choices meaningful.

As an indie action RPG, INSOMNIA emphasizes consequence. Its non-linear storyline includes points of no return that reward unorthodox thinking, and it branches toward 12 different endings. Your chosen background even shapes how you interact with the station's peculiar NPCs and factions, giving PC players a dense, atmospheric world to lose themselves in.
