About I Am Fish

I Am Fish poster

I Am Fish is a charming, physics-based adventure starring four determined fish who are torn away from their cozy home in a pet shop tank. Over the course of the game you help them swim, fly, roll, and chomp their way toward the open ocean, setting out from the far corners of Barnardshire, described as the smallest county in England, in a bid for both freedom and reunion with one another.

Each of the four friends brings a different ability to the journey. Goldfish is a cheerful, brave, natural-born swimmer, while Pufferfish is a little slow but kind-hearted and can inflate into a ball to roll across land. Piranha is wild, loud, and unpredictable with a fondness for biting, and Flying Fish, aloof but soft at heart, can glide through the air. Together this plucky shoal pours everything into their mission to find their way back to each other.

A simple, intuitive control scheme underpins the whole thing, so you swim, roll, glide, chomp, flip, inflate, and fly through a series of playful challenges without wrestling the controls. Barnardshire's idyllic coastline and quaint villages might look peaceful, but for these aquatic heroes they're full of very real hazards, from busy roads to precarious rooftops. As a physics-driven simulation adventure on PC, it wraps its gentle chaos in plenty of fishy humor.
