About HUMANKIND™

HUMANKIND™ poster

HUMANKIND is a historical strategy game that invites you to rewrite the whole story of human civilization by blending cultures together into a society that reflects your own choices. Rather than locking you into a single nation, it lets you combine up to sixty historical cultures as you guide your people from the earliest ages through to the modern day, producing an almost endless range of outcomes.

Your civilization takes shape one era at a time. You might begin as a Neolithic tribe, step into the Ancient Era as the Babylonians, rise as the Classical Mayans, continue as the Medieval Umayyads, and later become the Early Modern British, with each culture adding its own gameplay layer to the mix. Along the way you'll confront historical events, weigh moral decisions, make scientific breakthroughs, and choose whether to seek out natural wonders or raise humanity's most remarkable constructions, all grounded in historically authentic detail.

What ties it all together is Fame, a unifying victory condition that rewards the journey over the destination. Every great deed, moral choice, and battle won adds to your Fame, and the player who leaves the deepest mark on the world claims victory. Combat plays out like a compact turn-based board game layered over the map, spanning land, sea, and air, giving this PC strategy title tactical depth alongside its sweep of history.
