About Hero's Hour

Hero's Hour poster

Hero's Hour is an accessible yet deep and content-rich strategy roleplaying game. You take command of a hero, roam the world, build up your town, wage fast battles, level up along the way, and gather an army large enough to wipe out your opponents before they do the same to you. It blends indie charm with RPG and strategy design into a package that stays approachable without sacrificing depth.

The standout twist is how it mixes pacing. Exploring the overworld and developing your town and army play out turn by turn, giving you time to plan your next moves, but battles unfold in real time, with your units, sometimes hundreds of them, fighting for themselves. You can cast spells and issue attack orders to tip the balance, or simply sit back and watch your might play out. Procedural generation keeps things fresh, seeding new areas, strange buildings, and small quests each run, so you cannot lean on the same build order twice even with the same faction.

The content list is substantial: 11 factions with their own mechanics and quirks, 22 hero classes each with a special skill, 50 common hero skills, 177 units plus 99 upgraded versions, 80 unique unit abilities, 166 artifacts, and 83 spells with 18 more unlocked through skills. Local hotseat multiplayer rounds it out on PC.
