About Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice poster

From the studio behind Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry comes Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, a warrior's brutal descent into myth and madness. Set during the Viking age, it follows a broken Celtic warrior on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell, where she fights for the soul of her dead lover. Developed alongside neuroscientists and people who live with psychosis, the game pulls you deep inside Senua's mind for an intensely personal action-adventure.

A 2021 update returns players to Helheim and refreshes the experience with enriched visuals and new capabilities. Upgraded materials, particles, and level-of-detail work sit alongside DirectX Raytracing and performance gains from NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR support.

The same update also folds in a set of accessibility improvements, among them full controller remapping and colour blindness settings. The result is a striking indie-rooted action title that pairs a mythic, madness-soaked journey with modern technical polish, making Senua's harrowing pilgrimage more approachable than ever on PC.
