About Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose poster

Hell Let Loose throws you into the sprawling chaos of the Second World War across some of its most iconic engagements, from Carentan, Omaha Beach, and Stalingrad to Kursk and beyond. Fighting spills across fields, bridges, forests, towns, and other war-torn settings on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Tanks dominate the ground while supply chains keep the frontlines fed, and every player has a part to play in this massive, combined-arms warfare.

Battles are squad-based and staged at a 50-versus-50 scale. You pick from 14 roles spread across Command, Infantry, Recon, and Armour units, taking on jobs like Officer, Spotter, Medic, or Tank Commander to touch every facet of the conflict. Each role carries its own historically detailed weapons, vehicles, and equipment, and coordinated unit play can genuinely turn the tide of a fight.

The hardcore approach extends to the maps themselves, which are built to scale from aerial and satellite imagery of real locations and rendered in Unreal Engine 4. These battlefields are carved into large capture sectors, letting emergent and constantly shifting situations develop between the two fifty-player sides. Blending action, simulation, and strategy, it rewards teamwork above all on PC.
