Half-Life 2 RTX demo lets you experience the award-winning shooter that has captivated millions worldwide, famous for its immersive story, thrilling combat, and mind-bending physics, now fully overhauled with modern graphics technology. The renewal includes full ray tracing, hand-crafted physically based textures, enhanced high-poly models, and updated lighting, all rendered in stunning 4K to bring one of gaming's greatest titles to life in a whole new light.

The project is a free DLC available to all Half-Life 2 owners, developed by Orbifold Studios, a collective of passionate, community-assembled developers whose earlier work includes Half-Life 2: VR, Half-Life 2: Remade Assets, Project 17, and Raising the Bar: Redux. That community pedigree underpins the effort to reimagine the game's visuals while preserving what made it special.

Technically, it draws on the latest version of RTX Remix and leverages NVIDIA technologies including full ray tracing, DLSS 3.5 with ray reconstruction, and Reflex, combining them to modernise the presentation without losing the original's identity.
