Griftlands is a deck-building roguelike set in a broken-down science fiction world where you talk and fight your way through trouble. Every choice carries weight, from the jobs you accept to the friends you make and the cards you gather. Death arrives fast, but each run reshuffles the situation, opening up fresh strategies and encounters to test.
At this stage you can take on the roles of Sal, an adventurer chasing profit and revenge, or Rook, an aging spy pursuing his own agenda, with a third character and campaign in the works. Regular updates continue to add cards, quests, and characters, shaped by community feedback. Combat pits your decks against challenging bosses that wield unique mechanics, and you can round out your side by hiring mercenaries, finding pets, or leaning on your friends.
With hundreds of cards to master, each character draws from its own separate negotiation and combat decks, and powerful item cards drop from defeated foes. Decisions genuinely matter, since killing an enemy can turn their allies against you while sparing them leaves a threat in play. All of this unfolds in Havaria, a harsh, faction-filled world that each character explores from a different corner in this indie PC roguelike.
