GONNER2 is the sequel to the IGF-winning GoNNER, bringing back the altruistic and unexpected hero Ikk, though this time it is Death herself who needs his help. Her lair has been overrun by a mysterious presence, and she turns to Ikk to take it down. That premise sends you journeying through deep, dark and chaotic places dotted with sparks of unimaginable colour, facing crazy bosses all while trying, quite literally, to keep your head.
At its core, this is a procedurally generated platformer with roguelike elements, so the layouts shift from run to run to keep you constantly on your toes. The design leans into unpredictability, ensuring that no two descents into these strange realms play out the same way and that you must adapt on the fly as challenges and opportunities emerge.
Compared with its predecessor, GONNER2 dials up the spectacle with more added colour and chaos, giving its dark worlds a vivid, frenetic personality. As an indie action title built on tight, roguelike-flavoured platforming and a distinctive visual style, it caters to PC players who enjoy fast, demanding runs where quick reflexes and a willingness to embrace the madness matter more than caution. For fans of the original, it is a bigger, bolder return to Ikk's surreal adventures.
