Goblin Cleanup answers a question most dungeon crawlers never ask: what happens after the adventurers leave, and who resets the place for the next party? Here you play a professional cleaner hired by the dungeon manager to scrub and prepare each dungeon for its next run. You can take on the job alone or alongside up to three companions online, cooperatively or, depending on the mood, not so cooperatively at all. This indie mix of adventure, casual play and simulation turns tidying up into the whole point.
The dungeons are dark and full of terrors, but as a seasoned cleaner that is simply routine, provided you avoid stepping on traps and keep the resident monsters fed so they do not decide to eat you or your friends. Cleaning with three other employees adds its own hazard, since if any of them die, you will have to mop up their pieces and blood on top of the mess the heroes already left behind.
Key tasks give the work structure. As a goblin maid, you use tools like the Slimop, a mimic and a slime dispenser to remove blood from floors and ceilings, restore objects to their original positions and reset traps so the dungeon returns to its proper state. It is a chaotic, comedic cleanup sim well suited to PC groups.
