Generation Zero drops you into an alternate 1980s Sweden where the local population has vanished and machines of unknown origin now stalk the streets. Your task is to explore a vast open world, piece together the mystery of these invaders, refine your combat tactics and eventually strike back. In this action-adventure, survival itself is the measure of victory, and staying alive means scavenging constantly for weapons and supplies while taking on missions and challenges scattered across the map.
Combat rewards preparation and cleverness rather than brute force. You tactically combine weapons, skills and equipment to lure, cripple and destroy the mechanical enemies, and some foes are simply too powerful to confront head-on. In those moments, stealth becomes essential, letting you move silently, exploit the machines' senses and use the environment to your advantage rather than charging in.
The world can be tackled alone or with friends, thanks to seamless multiplayer for one to four players who combine their unique skills to bring down tougher threats together. A strong current of 1980s nostalgia runs throughout, with outfits and hairstyles hidden among the loot so you can recreate your favourite period looks while battling the robots. Atmospheric and tactical, it is an open-world adventure that rewards patience and teamwork on PC.
