About Garry's Mod

Garry's Mod poster

Garry's Mod is a physics sandbox with no set objectives, no scoreboard and no win condition. Instead of steering you toward a goal, it simply hands over the tools and lets you decide what to build and how to play. That open-ended approach is the whole point: this indie simulation is a blank canvas shaped entirely by the imagination of whoever is holding the controls.

At its core, you spawn objects into the world and weld them together to assemble your own contraptions. That might mean a working car, a rocket, a catapult, or some strange creation that has never had a name before, and the direction is always yours to choose. You can tinker away offline at your own pace, or connect with the thousands of players who log in every day to build, experiment and mess around together.

Construction is only part of the appeal. If elaborate builds are not your strength, you can arrange a variety of characters into ridiculous poses and stage your own scenes for pure amusement. And for anyone who wants to push further, the toolset is deep enough to support far more ambitious projects. Endlessly flexible and driven by community creativity, Garry's Mod remains a definitive playground for PC players who like to invent their own fun.
