About Fortnite Save the World

Fortnite Save the World is the cooperative PvE campaign side of Fortnite, and it is set to go free to play on April 16, 2026. It offers action-packed building and combat as you take on relentless monster hordes, either solo or with up to three friends, exploring a vast and destructible world where dynamically created maps ensure no two games ever play out the same way.

The core loop revolves around building and defending. You construct elaborate trap tunnels and towering fortresses to protect your objectives from waves of monsters, then scavenge the environment for materials to craft legendary weapons ranging from neon scythes to heavy-duty rocket launchers. Balancing offense, defense and resource gathering is central to holding the line against each assault.

Progression comes through a large roster of Heroes drawn from four classes: Soldiers, Ninjas, Outlanders and Constructors. You rescue, recruit and customize these characters to match your preferred playstyle, leveling them up as you go. As a first-person shooter blended with base-building and adventure elements, this PC mode rewards teamwork and preparation. Gather your squad, assemble your favorite gear, and set out to Save the World against the monster onslaught.
