FORECLOSED is a narrative-driven action-adventure set in a cyberpunk world of suspense, augmentation and conspiracy. You follow Evan Kapnos, a man whose identity has just been Foreclosed, leaving him stripped of his job, his brain implants and his access to the city Block-chain. Before those implants and his very identity are auctioned off, he must escape, and that desperate flight drives the entire story forward.
What sets this indie title apart is its presentation as an interactive graphic novel. It merges the playability of a video game with the sleek visual style of comic books, so gameplay and cinematics alike unfold within a stylized comic framework. Full-screen views and comic panel perspectives blend seamlessly as you move through the cyberpunk city, uncovering a gripping conspiracy, and even the cutscenes are interactive, transitioning smoothly between different play styles.
Combat is built around a hi-tech, RPG-like skill system that lets you discover and unlock new abilities. You can upgrade your weapon with futuristic modifications such as Explosive or Machine-Gun Rounds, enhance your brain with experimental augmentations, and wield superhero-like powers like telekinesis to hurl enemies or objects. Hacking into systems to create traps adds another layer, making this PC adventure a stylish, story-first blend of shooting, upgrades and manipulation.
