About For The King

For The King poster

For The King is an adventure that blends strategy, RPG progression and roguelite structure into a party-based journey full of risk. Its standout feature is a dice-roll inspired combat system, where you fight, and sometimes fall, as a group in fast-paced, brutal turn-based encounters that use a unique slot mechanic to resolve attacks and special abilities.

Every expedition is shaped by procedural generation, producing fresh maps, quests, loot and events each time you set out. Between runs you spend Lore to unlock new weapons, items, NPCs, classes and events, so persistent progress carries forward even when a party meets its end. This roguelite loop keeps the indie title endlessly replayable, rewarding both careful planning and adaptability in the face of unlucky rolls.

Flexibility extends to how you play together, with support for single-player, local co-operative and online co-operative modes. You can split your party to cover more ground quickly or keep everyone close for mutual protection, tailoring your approach to each challenge. This edition also bundles in the game's released expansion content, including Dungeon Crawl, Frozen Expanse Adventure, the Gold Rush un-cooperative mode and Into The Deep, giving PC players a generous helping of additional adventures to explore.
