About Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn poster

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn comes from A44, the studio behind Ashen, and delivers an action RPG that fuses gunpowder and magic into a Souls-lite framework. The story begins with the opening of the Door to the Great Below, which releases vengeful Gods and their armies of the Dead upon the lands of Kian. With the city of Dawn on the edge of ruin, the Coalition army mounts a desperate counterattack, and your goal is nothing short of closing the door and reclaiming the world from divine wrath.

You play as Nor Vanek, an elite Coalition soldier accompanied by Enki, a mysterious fox-like companion whose magical powers strengthen both your combat and your traversal. Together the pair form a formidable duo, with Enki also sharing knowledge of the scarred world around you.

Combat leans into rapid mobility, blending melee strikes, gunpowder and magic into rhythmic, combo-driven exchanges. Nor's gunpowder abilities let you exploit verticality to strike from above or quickly escape danger, giving battles an explosive, dynamic feel. Set across a world laid waste by rampaging Gods, this PC adventure pairs the deliberate challenge of the souls-like genre with a faster, more aggressive tempo for players hungry for high-stakes vengeance.
