About Far Cry® 3

Far Cry 3 is an open-world first-person shooter that hands you the tools to build your own kind of FPS adventure. You customize your weapons, shape your skills, and pick how you approach every mission, whether that means charging in with run-and-gun aggression, slipping through camps for silent takedowns, or picking off targets from a distance with a rifle. The freedom to play your way runs through everything the game offers.

The setting is a sprawling tropical island of danger and discovery, ranging from mountain ranges and swampy grasslands to white sandy beaches. You can hunt exotic animals, dig up relics, take on mini-games, and move quickly by land, sea, or air while fighting through towns, temples, and river ports. Along the way you encounter a disturbed and memorable cast of characters on a gritty descent into the darker side of humanity, penned by a Writers Guild Award winner.

Beyond the campaign, up to four players can team up in a full co-op story, working together to survive against the odds. A distinct competitive multiplayer rewards teamwork through battle cries, revives, and support weapons, and a map editor lets the PC community craft and share their own battlegrounds long after the main story ends.
