FAR: Changing Tides is an atmospheric vehicle adventure that follows a boy named Toe on a quiet, emotional voyage to find a new home. Waking alone in a flooded world where everything familiar has been transformed into unfamiliar and sometimes hostile terrain, Toe sets out across stormy seas, dives into unknown depths, and picks through the ruins of a once-great civilization. It is a companion piece to FAR: Lone Sails, trading that game's sun-scorched dust for high water and heavy skies.
The heart of the experience is captaining a distinctive seafaring vessel. You and your ship brave intense storms and plumb the perils of the deep together, and keeping it running means unlocking new parts, repairing faults, and hunting the watery depths for fuel and salvage. The farther you sail, the more of the ship's intricate inner workings you come to understand.
Built as a meditative, largely wordless journey, this indie action adventure introduces new environments, puzzles, and ship mechanics that make for a bigger and deeper challenge than its predecessor. Whether you are a longtime fan of the series or discovering it for the first time on PC, the beautifully realized flooded world rewards patience and curiosity at every turn.
