About Fallout 76

Set a century into the future of Bethesda Game Studios' famous universe, Fallout 76 opens on Reclamation Day in 2102, twenty-five years after nuclear war reshaped America. You take on the role of a Vault Dweller stepping out of Vault 76 into the ravaged hills of West Virginia, and from that first moment the wasteland of Appalachia is yours to explore, quest through, and rebuild. As an open-world entry in the series, it can be played entirely solo or alongside other survivors as you tackle the region's most punishing dangers together on PC.

The experience leans heavily on both story and community. An immersive main questline lets you unravel the secrets of the region and meet the settlers who have arrived to start over, with room to befriend or betray them as you see fit. Public Events tie into the Mutation Invasion, cycling in hourly Mutated versions that pile on fresh challenges and rewards, while Daily Ops keep throwing new locations, enemies, and scaling loot your way.

Progression stretches across seasonal Scoreboards, where completing limited-time challenges unlocks a free spread of consumables, C.A.M.P. building items, and more.
