About Escape Simulator

Escape Simulator poster

Escape Simulator brings the real-world escape room experience to PC, letting you tackle its brain-teasers alone or team up with friends in online co-op. This first-person puzzle game hands you complete freedom to interact with your surroundings: if an object isn't bolted to the wall, you can pick it up, examine it, and put it to use. Rummage through drawers, smash pots, crack open locks, and pin useful clues to your screen so you never lose track of a riddle mid-solve.

The base game gathers twenty rooms into themed packs such as the Labyrinth of Egypt and Adrift in Space, each one crafted with input from professional escape room operators. That design pedigree shows in puzzles that reward careful reading of books, close inspection of artifacts, and cross-referencing of scattered hints. Co-op is a natural fit here, with built-in rooms suited to small groups of around three players and community creations tested with as many as ten.

A built-in level editor and Steam Workshop integration keep the content flowing well beyond the shipped rooms. You can design your own chambers and puzzles from scratch, then dip into the endless supply of scenarios other players have built, making this an indie puzzler with plenty of replay value.
