Endfield's real-time combat is a reaction engine — this breaks down how elements, staggers, and squad rotations combine into real damage.

  • You field a four-member squad and swap freely; combat is real-time 3D action, not turn-based, so positioning and dodging matter.
  • Elements (Heat, Cryo, Electric, Nature, Physical) trigger reactions such as Combustion and Corrosion — infliction units set up the field and DPS units detonate it.
  • Arts Susceptibility and Vulnerable debuffs (from units like Gilberta, Tangtang, Rossi) are multipliers — applying them before your damage window is the single biggest DPS lever.
  • The imbalance/stagger system raises an enemy's vulnerability; time your Ultimate and Combo Skills to land inside the stagger for maximum burst.
  • Combo Skills chain between operators (e.g., Perlica's Electrification triggers allies' combos) — sequencing your rotation is core to high-end clears.
  • Manage SP/Ultimate economy: high-cost carries like Zhuang Fangyi need enablers that generate resources or shorten downtime.
  • Endgame modes (RE-Crisis / Contingency Contract) reward specialists — bring single-target killers (Yvonne) for bosses and AoE (Laevatain) for waves.
