About Empire of Sin

Empire of Sin poster

Empire of Sin is a strategy game from Romero Games and Paradox Interactive that plants you at the heart of the ruthless criminal underworld of 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago. This character-driven experience mixes the glitz and glamor of the roaring twenties with the gritty underbelly of organized crime, challenging you to hustle, charm and intimidate your way to the top of the pile, then do whatever it takes to stay there.

Building your empire starts small, establishing rackets in your neighborhood, whether speakeasies, breweries, brothels, union skimming, protection schemes or casinos, while recruiting loyal mobsters to make your mark on the streets. Once your name carries weight, you expand by seizing rival territory and folding new ventures into your operation, growing your influence block by block.

The city around you feels alive, spanning distinct neighborhoods like Little Italy and West Loop, complete with real historical landmarks and events. A cast of over 60 characters each carry backgrounds, traits and relationships that shape how they react to you and one another, and gameplay hinges on how you handle them, whether you schmooze, coerce, seduce, threaten or simply kill to get your way. For PC strategy and RPG fans, Empire of Sin turns crime into a deeply personal power struggle.
