About ELEX 2

ELEX 2 is the sequel to ELEX, another open-world action role-playing game from Piranha Bytes, the award-winning studio behind the Gothic and Risen series. It returns to the post-apocalyptic science fantasy world of Magalan, this time with massive environments you can roam with unrivaled freedom thanks to a jetpack, letting you move through the epic story in whatever order you choose on PC.

The story picks up several years after Jax defeated the Hybrid, when a new threat descends from the sky and begins unleashing the dangerous powers of dark Elex, endangering all life on the planet. To defend Magalan's fragile peace and protect his own family, Jax sets out to convince the world's factions to unite against the invaders, while also searching for his son Dex, who has become separated from him.

As in the first game, much of the appeal lies in the sheer scale and variety of the setting, a huge, hand-crafted and completely unique world woven together from multiple factions and diverse environments. For RPG players who value open exploration, faction politics and freedom of movement, ELEX 2 expands the science fantasy universe of Magalan while keeping its personal, family-driven stakes at the center of the adventure.
