Dome Keeper folds mining and tower defense into a tense roguelike loop built for PC. Between assaults you burrow beneath your base with a drill, tunneling through a procedurally generated map that hides ore, relics, caves, and hidden gadgets. Every second underground is a gamble: the alien monsters always come back, so you must weigh the temptation of one more descent against the need to hurry home and brace for the next wave.
When the attack arrives, you climb into the dome and man its weaponry, repelling waves of enemies that strike from both the air and the ground. Each foe carries its own movement and attack pattern, forcing you to upgrade, repair, and adapt on the fly. Resources hauled back from the depths pay for meaningful upgrades, letting you harden your defenses, sharpen your drill, or move faster across the map.
Much of the appeal comes from tailoring a run to your own style. You can pick between two keeper types, four distinct domes, and four primary gadgets, then layer in run modifiers, difficulty tweaks, and dozens of secondary gadgets to unlock. As an indie action game, Dome Keeper rewards careful strategy and quick decisions, and no two procedurally generated runs ever play out quite the same way.
