About DayZ

DayZ poses a single, unrelenting question: how long can you survive a post-apocalyptic world? Its land has been overrun by an infected population, and dwindling resources pit you against every other survivor you meet. You might band together with strangers and grow stronger as a group, or go it alone as a lone wolf to sidestep the ever-present risk of betrayal. Either way, the story that emerges is yours to write.

This is a hardcore open-world survival game governed by one rule above all others: stay alive, no matter the cost. That is far easier said than done, because threats lurk around nearly every corner, from the infected to hunger, injury, and the unpredictable intentions of other players. Constant vigilance becomes second nature.

Drawing on action, adventure, FPS, MMO, RPG, and simulation elements, DayZ offers a dense, systems-heavy survival experience on PC.
