About Dark Scrolls

Dark Scrolls poster

Dark Scrolls is an action-adventure roguelite in which you pick one of several offbeat heroes and set out on a quest, playing solo or in co-op both locally and online. The action unfolds across procedurally generated runs built from hand-crafted rooms and levels, and survival depends on hacking, slashing, and dodging your way through swarms of enemies and lethal traps while leaning on each character's distinct attacks and abilities.

Quick reflexes and fast decisions matter here, because the intensity climbs steadily as every run introduces fresh surprises, branching paths, and relentless bosses. Between fights you can catch your breath at Bruce & Goose's Shoppe, spending collected coins on new perks, powerful attacks, and summoned allies. Stacked cleverly, these upgrades can trigger screen-filling waves of destruction reminiscent of classic arcade play.

The world rewards curiosity, hiding secrets, new routes, and additional heroes waiting to be freed and added to your roster. Co-op partners can combine attacks and revive one another after a fall, while each run reshapes its layout, bosses, and paths around the choices players make. Nine distinct heroes come with their own skills, side goals, and customizable trinkets, and chaining perks with elemental powers keeps this indie PC brawler unpredictable from one attempt to the next.
