About Curious Expedition 2

Curious Expedition 2 is a turn-based expedition roguelike built around managing both your resources and your party members, all in the pursuit of glory. Keeping insanity at bay is a constant concern as players guide their crew through unpredictable journeys, blending adventure, RPG, simulation, and strategy into a single expedition-driven experience on PC.

The story is set in motion by a remarkable discovery: mysterious islands that appear and vanish from the oceans as if by magic. The great Explorer Clubs are funding voyages to these strange landmasses in hopes of recovering treasures to display at the 1889 World's Fair in Paris. The central question posed to players is whether they are bold enough to join such a daring undertaking.

That framing gives the roguelike structure a clear sense of purpose, tying each run to the pursuit of relics worthy of the World's Fair. With runs shaped by the shifting nature of the islands and the ever-present risk of losing party members to madness, careful planning and resourcefulness become the keys to returning from each expedition with fame intact.
