About Cris Tales

Cris Tales is a striking indie RPG that pays tribute to classic JRPGs while introducing a time-bending twist all its own. Its central hook lets you view the past, present, and future at once on a single screen, watching your choices ripple forward and reshape what is to come. At its heart is Crisbell, a newly awakened Time Mage who sets out with fantastical companions across a dark, fairytale world staring down a bleak future.

Crisbell's journey carries her through Crystallis and the four Kingdoms as she works to halt the mighty Time Empress and rewrite the fate of everyone living in the world. Along the way she gathers allies with their own distinct stories and abilities, among them Matias the Frog and Willhelm the Child Mage, each proving vital as the party faces difficult decisions and a steady stream of enemies.

Those decisions carry weight far beyond any single scene, altering the world you experience in real time throughout the adventure. Battles reward creativity, letting you overwhelm foes with attacks or bend the rules using Crisbell's time powers to change a fight's reality. Bringing it to life is hand-drawn 2D art animated frame by frame, giving each region, enemy, and character across their branching pasts and futures a vivid presence.
