About Clid the Snail

Clid the Snail unfolds in a world where humanity is only a faint memory, and it stars an unlikely hero: Clid, an eccentric, troublemaking snail freshly exiled from his home citadel. Together with Belu, a chatty and loyal firefly, he falls in with a peculiar band of outcasts and finds a new purpose, wiping out the mysterious slug plague spreading across the land. It's a story about exile, friendship, and betrayal told through a snail who simply doesn't fit in.

This top-down shooter puts character-driven narrative and thoughtful combat front and center. Survival depends on strategic positioning, precise gunplay, and reading enemy behavior, so you'll want to get creative with your guns, grenades, and unique snail shells, using the environment to outmaneuver threats. As an action-adventure indie, it rewards patience and smart movement over brute force.

Between the fighting you return to a home base and a memorable found family, among them a shy hedgehog, a shaman turtle, a mute bat, a ninja frog, and a one-eyed chameleon, the members of Alastor. On PC, each return lets you rest, restock, and upgrade before heading back out to uncover the truth behind the plague corrupting the world.
